Art Cinema comes to The Lyric!

MARTIN COUNTY -- With a new projector and screen in place, The Lyric Theatre is continuing its series of critically acclaimed classic, foreign and independent films.

The films will be shown on Mondays and Tuesdays over the month of May, every day featuring a different film.

The first film in May is Rust and Bone, a drama nominated for two Golden Globes.  An emotional movie, it tells the story of a man with a young son and their relationship with a whale trainer.

On May 7, the movie will be 56 Up: on May 13, the film will be Sound City; on May 20, the film will be The Playroom, and on May 21, the movie If I Were You will show and on May 28 the movie Simon Killer will air.

Tickets are $10 per person, and memberships to the Film Society are available, which will provide discounted ticket prices.
